Day Al-Mohamed is author of the Young Adult novel, “Baba Ali and the Clockwork Djinn.” Editor for the anthology, “Trust & Treachery” and a regular host for Idobi Radio's "Geek Girl Riot". In addition to speculative fiction, she also writes comics and film scripts. Her recent publications are available in Fireside Fiction, Apex Magazine, and GrayHaven Comics’ anti-bullying issue “You Are Not Alone.” She is an active member of Women in Film and Video, a graduate of the VONA/Voices Writing Workshop, and a 2015 Documentary Fellow with Docs in Progress. However, she is most proud of being invited to present a storytelling workshop at the White House in February 2016. Al-Mohamed has worked as a policy advisory, lobbyist, and political analyst for more than 15 years on national issues relating to education, employment, technology, health care, and International development. She loves public policy, history, and drinks far too much tea.
